.....Collaborative fiction

Caroline Flandersmith, also known as Sissy, was the daughter of Claudius and the brother of Bernard. While her brother proved to dally in fantasy and the creation of human-like dolls, Caroline tried very hard to live a normal life. It was easy after all, growing up in an environment where her brother spent his days professing his love to a pile of wood that was once her washing table. "If he only knew that he was kissing the drawer I kept my nylons in," she would think to herself.

The atmosphere was damaging for Caroline. Her absent-minded father was also absent physically. He spent his days working as a blacksmith, cursing his older son for betraying the family business and falling in love with wood. Her mother had left after she was born in the early 1860s, and was last seen as the director of security at Ford's Theatre in Washington D.C.

Sissy reached her boiling point when her brother began having children with her washing table, er, his doll. She took a loan from her father and moved to Independence, Mo. where she opened Caroline's Cathouse, the flagship store for what would be a short-lived nationwide chain of brothels.
