The Spawn of Satan Fish man was himself a tortured soul. Born with a rare skin disease "Ichthyosis," or "Fish scale disease," his skin resembled that of a Sockeye Salmon. In fact, his last name was Salmon, being that he was the son of Manfred and Eugenia Salmon of French Lick, Indiana. Manfred and Eugenia Salmon were not the brightest bulbs in the box, and doomed their newborn to a life of ridicule by bestowing upon their fish-like son the unfortunate Christian name of "Gill." Matters took a decided turn for the worse when a myopic clerk in the hospital inadvertently changed the spelling of his last name on his birth certificate from "Salmon" to Satan," thereby pretty much assuring young Gill a life as a circus freak.<<<<<
