Fidencio Fernando (Great Grandfather of the infamous Pip Pip Fernando) is most known to us now as the author of the beloved children's book, "Halfwick, the Happy Hamster". (later made into the motion picture, "Hamsters in Paradise" staring Sterling Haden, Burt Lancaster and Mr Hample the Hamster). However, in his younger years,Fidencio had a reputation as a lothario of unrivaled proportions. According to family legend, young Fidencio seduced over 800 women during his travels in the tri-state area. Later, he would be tamed by the firey and beautiful Caroline Flandersmith (also known as Sissy). They wed, but it was not meant to last. Caroline left for Missouri after being married for less than one year, leaving behind their only child, Pepe Fernando (Grandfather of Pip Pip) and a devasted Fidencio. <<<<<
